We are 150 metres from the main corner of the town centre, close to everything and still quiet. We have 26 rooms in four categories, our own garden, and breakfast to start the day before you head out on the trails.

The rooms have no television. We made that choice at the request of our own guests, who come to El Chaltén for the peace and the surroundings.

El Chaltén is Argentina's trekking capital and the gateway to the northern section of Los Glaciares National Park. We are one of the few hotels in town with a view of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. It is not just about the view: seeing the weather on each massif from your window helps you decide which hike to do each day.
We are 150 metres from the main corner of the town centre. Close enough to walk to the shops and services, and far enough from the bustle to sleep in silence.
The nearest airport is El Calafate International Airport. From there, a bus takes you to El Chaltén: 215 km, about 3 hours. There are daily direct flights of about 3 hours from Buenos Aires to El Calafate, as well as flights from other cities in Argentina.
It runs along the Atlantic coast. It is the busiest route and is paved all the way.
It runs parallel to the Andes. Some stretches are gravel.
